Talent Day 2007
Expand your network
On the 8th of June 2007, the Talent Day took place at business centre and museum Geelvinck in Amsterdam. This day’s theme was “Expand your network” and the participants were given more insight in building up their network in combination with their personal talents. The day consisted of some interesting workshops, a lunch, a drink and business presentations which were organized by the diverse sponsors.
In the morning, LaRed, a company which is specialized in networking and giving network trainings, organized an interactive workshop. LaRed gave a lot of useful tips and tricks on how to approach other people for your “new” network and how to behave appropriately. After this workshop, an instruction about the participants’ own competence skills for a specific function was organized by the recruiter Fairlane.
During the lunch, the FRESH-members used their newly learned social networking tricks with the Talent Day sponsors; Brink Groep, Heijmans and Cushman & Wakefield. After the lunch, the sponsors gave their presentations where the theme was “networking within a specific real estate discipline”. All three business presentations were very different from each other but all very useful for the higher purpose of the day.
The final workshop of this day was organized by Oger and the theme was “dress for success”. The participants were given good advices on how to dress for different meetings. Oger also described the do’s and don’ts in how to present yourself.
The successful day ended with some nice Italian Prosecco and an informal network drink. The invited people could have a drink in the nice garden and the 18th century’s beautiful blue and Chinese room. Finally, there was the possibility to smoke a good cigar and to have some nice cognac in the museum library.
