Jones Lang LaSalle
Inhouse Day 2008
On Friday the 8Th of February 2008, FRESH and Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) organized their annually Inhouse Day. The target of the day was to show the full service character of JLL. An exclusive group of 22 students were welcomed in the office of JLL at the Zuidas in Amsterdam with a cup of coffee and a welcoming word by FRESH and Marjolein Boerkamp, Manager Human Resources. .jpg)
In succession Erik Huigen, COO, started with a general presentation in which he commented on his career, working at Jones Lang LaSalle, its global work field and the organisation structure.
Subsequently Henri Grevens, Corporate Solutions JLL, gave a brief but very enthusiastic presentation about the field of Corporate Solutions. After which he presented a case in which the student had to improvise on the different parties involved in a typical “corporate Solutions” problem, followed by a delicious lunch. .jpg)
The programme continued with Eric Welboren and Bart Oonk, Real Estate brokers JLL, who took the whole group for a tour around the WTC area. In a showroom we got a great view of the Zuidas, while Eric and Bart told us about their typical workday, and we got the opportunity to ask questions.
After going back to the JLL office Matthew Sgrizzi, Investment Manager JLL introduced us in the world of investing. This friendly American explained the difficulties but more important the fun sides of it all. The sometimes difficult information was explained in a way that everyone could keep up. Overall a very good impression on the worldwide field of investment management. .jpg)
The second and prepared case of the day was led by Carolien van Strien en Elsbeth Quispel, Corporate Consultancy JLL. After a short presentation on the field and case the students were divided and got set on their solutions. After the 5 different presentations the winning group was rewarded and Carolien and Elsbeth showed their approach. .jpg)
The day was ended by Marjolein Boerkamp, giving us additional information about the career and trainee possibilities with JLL. The informal drink at the end gave us a chance to meet with the other employees and a fine conclusion of a intensive but rewording day at JLL.
The day was a success and we would like to thank JLL for making this day possible.

Inhouse Day 2006
On Friday the 3rd of November, 22 enthusiastic FRESH students attended the Jones Lang LaSalle Inhouse Day. The day started at 9:30 with a cup of coffee accompanied with a welcoming word by Hennieke Pol, Manager Human Resources. In succession Eric de Clercq Zubli, the new Managing Director, gave a general introduction about Jones Lang LaSalle and all of their activities. Afterwards he generously answered all questions asked.

Subsequently Paul Stotesbury told us all about the interesting division Corporate Solutions. At the end he showed us some of the cases he worked on, like the new Logica CMG office in Rijswijk developed by OVG and the new MTV Networks Headquarters in Amsterdam. After this presentation a delicious lunch was served.
The programme continued with a presentation by Matthew Sgrizzi from LaSalle Investment Management. He told us all about Real Estate investments and the worldwide Real Estate markets. Now that everybody got a good impression about what Jones Lang LaSalle has to offer, it was time to go outside and learn about brokerage.

Eric Welboren and Paco Landzaat, both working as a Real Estate broker at Jones Lang LaSalle hosted a tour around the WTC site. At the information centre of the ‘Zuid-As’ we got an interesting explanation about the future plans of this area. Afterwards we took the express elevator to the 27th floor where we got a beautiful view over the Zuid-As. At this unique location Eric and Paco told us about their typical workday, and we got the opportunity to ask questions.

When we returned to the Jones Lang LaSalle office we were welcomed by Sara Araghinavaz, Tjard Martinus and Caroline van Strien. They gave a short introduction and explanation on a case they had prepared for us. The participants were then divided into five groups, and had to work out the case in to a presentation. The presentations where all judged and the winning group got a nice price.

The Inhouse Day ended with an informal drink where the students could meet with employees of Jones Lang LaSalle. Overall the Inhouse Day at Jones Lang LaSalle was a great success. We would like to thank all employees and participants for making this day possible.
