OVG Projectontwikkeling
OVG Project Day 2007
On Friday the 7th of December, FRESH and OVG development organised the first OVG Project Day at the office of OVG at the Kop van Zuid in Rotterdam. At 13.00 everyone was welcomed on de 5th floor of the las Palmas building. The day was officially opened by Amy Oerlemans, Communication manager OVG, and she welcomed all the students.

After the opening it was time for a good looking lunch which was prepared for us by a chef cook in the impressive OVG office kitchen. After this lunch Coen van Oostrom, Director of OVG, kicked off the day with a very impressive presentation. Van Oostrom told the students about his career and the development of OVG as well as the future goals of the company and the meeting with Bill Clinton.
After this presentation, a very enthusiastic presentation from Leo van Duijn, Real Estate Manager of Logica CMG, one of OVG clients followed. This presentation described the experiences he has had working together with OVG. Leo told the students the differences between working with OVG and other developers. He was extremely enthusiastic about the customer directed approach, this way of working involved in many positive aspects for Logica CMG.
After the presentation from the clients point of view it was time for some words from an employee. Jurriaan Snijders, development manager OVG, gave the students a better view what working at OVG is all about. He described his background and his responsibilities as employee of OVG. Afterwards Fokkeline Lakerveld took the students on a tour at the Kop van Zuid. She explained the development process when we arrived at the Maastoren.

At the end of the day it was time for Amy Oerlemans to give a presentation about the organisation structure, different functions and the career possibilities at OVG. After thanking OVG for making the day possible, the students were offered an informal drink in the las Palmas building. Not only the participant, but also some employees attended the drink including Coen van Oostrom himself. This was of course a great opportunity to meet the OVG professionals and to find out firsthand what working at OVG is really like.
All in all we can look back at a very successful fist project day at OVG.
