Take a peek in TCN’s kitchen

TCN invites you to participate in the FRESH Project day on May 23rd at our office in Utrecht. During this Project Day we will emphasize TCN’s view on Real Estate. TCN Property Projects is a young and innovative property company with a distinctive corporate culture. It has offices in the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, Belgium, Turkey, Spain, UK, Charlemagne, Austria, Hungary and South Africa and activities throughout Europe.

TCN Property Projects is one of the Netherlands' top project developers, distinguishing itself by innovative concepts and creativity in design, management and financing. TCN Property Projects is striving for further structural growth in Europe level in cooperation with local partners. TCN Property Projects is formed by of 300 motivated employees, who give the company its face and relaxed culture!

On our Project Day we are going to work on a business case. TCN had recently purchased the famous “Centraal Beheer” building in Apeldoorn. This building has been designed by architect Herman Herzberger and was taken into use in 1972. The building is on the list of thousand best buildings in the post war architectural world. The Municipality is very attached to this cultural heritage that is of considerable value, not only to Apeldoorn.

Many were afraid it would be demolished. We would never do so! The building fits into our philosophy that characteristic buildings that are aged and obsolete in function can revive if a new concepts is found. TCN is eager to come up with a brand new concept for this building. We would like to offer you a peek into our Concepts kitchen: what better way than to get into action straightaway? During your visit to TCN we ask you to make up a steam cooker for this unique object..

Project Day 2006

On the 19th of May 2006 FRESH organises a Project Day at TCN Property Projects. TCN Property Projects is one of the Netherlands' top project developers, distinguishing itself by innovative concepts and creativity in design, management and financing. Their headquarters is located in Nieuwegein and the company has about 200 employees who give the company its face and relaxed culture. TCN Property Projects is striving for further structural growth in Europe level in cooperation with local partners. The company is involved in the projects such as Media Park Hilversum, Expo Center Hengelo, Home Trade Center in Nieuwegein, Olympiaquarter Almere and “Goudse Poort”. All TCN’s projects have to do with buildings, whether existing or yet to be constructed, but the emphasis always remains on their function and, more importantly, how people function, perform and feel at home in them. Long-term involvement in their projects is one of the most important business practices.

The core business segments of TCN Property Projects are divided in: Concepts, Development, Management and Assets. These four components correspond completely to the life cycle of a property. We envision it, we make it and we make sure it is operated and owned effectively!

TCN Concepts (think) - an independent business unit primarily giving advice to third parties, such as to municipal governments, property owners, investors, etc.
TCN Development (make) -  responsible for the actual physical creation.
TCN Management (do) - in charge of the management of the real estate in different aspects. They take care of the commercial, financial as well as the operational management.
TCN Assets (grow) - consist of financial specialists who take care of the asset management and the revenues that should be generated.

On the 19th of May it is possible to get to know TCN Property Projects in a more informal manner. This is the first Project Day at TCN Property Projects in cooperation with FRESH, so take your chance! The project day will take place at the World Forum Convention Center (WFCC) in The Hague. This WFCC is one of the most prestigious convention centers in the Netherlands. Its flexible space plan allows small meetings in the center but also a large convention such as The Hague Model United Nations or a musical for 2.000 visitors. TCN bought WFCC in 2002 and is in the progress of redeveloping and repositioning the WFCC. This will include adding new functions to the center, as well as development of the area in cooperation with Partner Provast and The Hague. Key aspects in the concepts, realisation and asset management of the WFCC are peace, safety and justice.

The day will start with a presentation about TCN Property Projects and the WFCC. This will be followed by a reFRESHing tour by Guido Louwerse, director of our program B2B (Business to Business), who will show us the World Forum Conventions Center and the premises where the 9.000 m2 “Statenhal” has been removed to make place for future developments in the themes peace, safety and justice. Afterwards, the participants are challenged during a case to function like a TCN employee in the redeveloping and repositioning of the World Forum Convention Center.
